ongratulations to the Sacred Heart Primary School on your 60th
Can-niversary. On behalf of Sisters of the Society of the Sacred
Heart, we share your pride in this great achievement. At this time, we
are also celebrating 100 years since the canonization of Saint Madeleine
Sophie Barat, who founded our congregation in France. She would
be so hap-py that her dream of education is so alive here at the Sacred
Heart Pri-mary School in Taiwan.

I had the pleasure of visiting your school recently. I noticed several
things about it. First, I saw such joy. e children were happy and so
were the teachers. I saw that learning was fun. At the same time, the
education here is strong and professional. Saint Madeleine Sophie
would like that.

I also saw how the children are learning about growing vegetables and
flowers. Their garden is green and healthy because they water it and
weed it. Like Pope Francis says, they are learning to take care of the
earth.

Finally, I experienced the way the children take care of a guest. With
their teachers' help, they welcomed me with joy and dignity. ey are
learning to be good adults. I was very happy to receive their gifts and
drawings. I will treasure them.

Congratulations again on your fine school and wonderful children.
